Granaries of Lindoso These granaries stand near the castle and the cross of Lindoso, dated back to the 18th century, are classified as Buildings of Public Interest.
The staddle granaries of Lindoso are of the narrow, perpendicular variety, and can be divided into four sub-categories: a) granaries entirely made of stone, b) combined stone and timber granaries, c) with stone walls and roof and lathwork, d) with coped roofs and storm screen.
They are built around a central rectangular threshing floor, an illustration of the importance of co-operative work in the local mountain communities.
